Norwood Food Pantry
We collect non pershiable food item for the food pantry that helps our neighbors here in the Norwood Community.
Each month a different challenge is sent to collect. January 2022- Canned Vegetables such as green beans, corn, carrots, peas,Veg-all, and tomatoes. Peanut butter, jelly, powdered or small bottles of laundry detergent are always in short supply.
Norwood First United Methodist Church may be a “small town” church but it’s a church with a very large heart! Do not underestimate the kids and adults in this congregation!
The assignment: take $5 and make it grow!
The result: our annual “Seed Project” brought in an all time record high of $15,609!!!
With this money, we were able to provide Christmas gifts for 97 kids in Stanly County. In addition we are covering families who are going through financial hardship by helping with rent or other home needs, and we are providing groceries for multiple families to get through the holidays! So many blessings being scattered across our community because of the generosity and love this church has to give!
